Epic Hikes You Have to do in Zion National Park Nov 17 Written By Denae Karber The Narrows Distance: To edge of water 1.9 from car (up to 12)Shuttle stop: Temple of Sinawava -we went back about 3.5 miles in and turned around-Easily one of the coolest hikes I’ve ever done. It was constantly in and out of a stream bed in a massive narrow canyon. (Narrows)In town they have boots you can rent! I highly highly suggest doing that. You’ll be walking on rough rocks and the water is very very cold! (Narrows) Even if you don’t go back far I suggest going to the trail head and looking down the river into the canyon. Very beautiful. This is a super popular hike so I would say get an early start or don’t go on weekends! 2. Canyon Over Look TrailDistance: 1 mileElevation Gain: 400 ft Follow Highway 9 to East entrance. Trail is on the left parking lot is on the right directly after Mount Carmel Tunnel. There is more parking down the road if parking lot is full. This a anyone can do and should do hike! Absolutely gorgeous view of a lot of the park area. We saw a bunch of mountain goats on this walk and they were adorable! 3. Hidden Canyon Distance: 3.1Elevation gain: 970ftShuttle stop: Weeping RockVery cool hike! Tons of fun, a cool chain along the way to hold when you’re near the edges. Epic views the entire way that will lead you to a small slot canyon to climb around in! 3. Angels landing Distance: 5 miles Elevation Gain: 1,600 ftStarts at The Grotto trailhead -Take west rim shuttle to The Grotto shuttle stop-(The ending is at the top of the cliff in front of me)I could go on and on about the beautiful views and cool aspects of this unique hike but I’ll make it short. It’s tough and if you hate heights you may not love it the way I do. Right in the middle of the park over looking Zion this has got to be one of the coolest hikes around. (Angels landing) On our way up to angels landing. The view was awesome the whole way! (Angels landing)Bonus: hikes I haven’t yet done! 5. The SubwayDistance: 10 miles one way (permit required) Ive read it’s a difficult trail and similar style to The Narrows. But the pictures are EPIC definitely something I will try and get a permit for next time I go. Think pools of beautiful water in rock formations. You’ll get wet and need some climbing skill. 6. Observation Point Distance: 8 miles round trip Shuttle stop: Weeping rock stop. Similar style view as Canyon Over Look Trail but an awesome hike getting to a crazy view! Definitely on my bucket list!
